3 Foot 6 Models - now with decals!

3 Foot 6 Models recently acquired a “Ghost” white toner printer (actually a Canon laser printer with a white toner cartridge) and will now be producing quality water slide decals for our 3D prints. This means white lettering and numbers will be much easier to produce. I’m still learning how to “over print” (i.e. print the white layer then the colour layers over the top) so the initial decals available will the "white on transparent” variations, and overprints later on.

An example of decals being set up - white on transparent background. The colours will be inverted (i.e. white will become black) and the decals are then printed through the laser printer by replacing the “black” cartridge with white.

First up, modern KiwiRail logos for diesel and electric locomotives are now available in store. Just choose your scale and the locomotive the decals are for. Fortunately, having these designs for 3D prints means I can measure and produce the decals relatively easily.
