KiwiRail DM class update

The KiwiRail DM class model project inches forward.

Thanks to several good distractions (recent modelling weekend in Woodville, large orders off to Poland and new designs on their way) I haven’t been able to get back to the new KiwiRail DM class design.

However, that’s about to change - thanks to the keen eye of Jolon Sweeney, I’ve made several changes to the design based on more recent photographs of KiwiRail’s DM class locomotives at the Stadler.

There’s several subtle differences with the designs and the locomotives as-built that Jolon has been picked up - mainly the headlight design, anti-climbers and some cab details. The design has now been updated to reflect it. I’m currently printing the modified design to figure out what mechanism it will fit to. Watch this space!
