CE class coal hopper wagon
Introduced between the year 2000 and 2010 by Tranz Rail, these wagons represented a further evolution of coal hopper wagons on New Zealand’s railways. Largely confined to the Midland line coal circuit, these wagons remain in service today. The CE's were built at Hillside, Dunedin to run on the Midland Line for Solid Energy from Ngakawau and Rapahoe Coal Mines to Lyttleton Port, Christchurch.
Model scale is NZ120 (1:120 or TT scale), requires bogies, couplers and rear ladder.
