KiwiRail AK class carriage - NZ120
KiwiRail’s AK class of carriages were introduced from 2011, and greatly improved passenger comfort on the remaining intercity passenger rail services in New Zealand: the Tranz Alpine (Christchurch - Greymouth), Coastal Pacific (Christchurch - Picton) and Northern Explorer (Auckland - Wellington).
This 3D print represents the AK class as introduced. It consists of four parts:
Carriage shell
Underframe and seating arrangement
2x bogie sets
The AK class are usually paired with the AKC cafe carriage and the AKV van. The AKV van is now available here.
Scale is NZ120 (1:120 or TT scale, also known as TT:120), designed to run on N scale track.
Chassis:
Model comes with a chassis and two bogies, requires 2x N scale wheelsets
Measurements:
NZ120: 162mm long x 22.65mm wide x 25.10mm high
